Senate Guidelines Committee Chair Amy Klobuchar nailed Sen. Ron Johnson for pushing conspiracy theories in the course of the Capitol assault listening to.
Sen. Johnson mentioned, “Lots of the marchers had been households with young children, many aged, chubby or plain drained for frail, traits not usually attributed to the riot inclined. Many professional-police shirts or pro-police black and blue flags. Though they represented largely the working class by method and speech, some stood out. Didn’t share the jovial, pleasant, and earnest demeanor of the nice majority. Some clearly didn’t slot in. He describes 4 various kinds of individuals, plain-clothed militants, provocateurs, faux Trump protesters,s after which disciplined uniform calm protesters, I believe these are the individuals who in all probability deliberate this. The overwhelming majority of Trump supporters are pro-law enforcement, and the very last thing they might do is violate the regulation.”

Sen. Klobuchar (D-MN) responded after the listening to:
Guidelines Cmte Chair Klobuchar on GOP WI Sen Johnson’s line of questioning at hrng into riot: “I knew Ron Johnson was going to be an issue..I am not one bit shocked that Ron Johnson has once more engaged in a conspiracy principle – that is what he does”

Sen. Johnson has been pushing the conspiracy theory that the armed insurrection never happened. It’s tough for the Senate to meet its duties of oversight when individuals like Ron Johnson are abusing their place within the Senate to push conspiracy theories.
It isn’t like Johnson was making an attempt to play to Fox Information, because Fox wasn’t covering the hearing. Ron Johnson was doing what he does. Sen. Johnson toxically spreads lies and misinformation everywhere in the Senate as a result of he views it as his solely path to remaining a Senator.
Ron Johnson will stay an issue till the voters of Wisconsin kick him out of the Senate.
