As some of the influential singers and songwriters of common music, Smokey Robinson bought his begin at Motown Records in Detroit, his hometown. Robinson was born within the Motor Metropolis on Feb. 19, 1940.

Robinson was a part of the group the Miracles, which scored a number of common R&B songs within the Nineteen Sixties.
